On 3 May 2024, ULI Greece & Cyprus held a site tour and presentation of The Ilisian in central Athens.

The Ilisian is a landmark mixed-use development redefining luxury and urban living in central Athens. Occupying the historic site of the former Hilton Athens, this 65,000-square-meter complex integrates hospitality, residential, cultural, and lifestyle offerings. At its heart is the Conrad Athens The Ilisian hotel, marking the brand’s debut in Greece with 307 rooms,suites and residences including a 400-square-meter mega suite offering panoramic views of the Acropolis. The upper floors house 18 branded Conrad Residences and 37 Waldorf Astoria Residences, introducing a new standard of serviced living in the city.​ Complementing these are curated dining venues, including the reimagined Galaxy Bar and Supper Club, wellness and fitness facilities, and a diverse retail experience.

In addition, The Ilisian will be home to House of NYNN – Athens’ new lifestyle members’ club. Spanning three levels and over 5,000 m², House of NYNN will redefine the private club experience, serving Athens’ dynamic community and beyond. Through its curated spaces and programming, the club promotes a modern, balanced lifestyle that blends entertainment, wellbeing, and personal growth. The participants of the ULI Greece & Cyprus visit enjoyed a presentation of the full project timeline from inception to design and construction. In addition, they had the opportunity to tour the construction site and visit the prototype hotel rooms.

During our site visit we had the opportunity to get firsthand experience of the new amenities and learn about the technical challenges that the project team faced. The development emphasizes sustainability, targeting LEED Gold certification, and preserves iconic design elements such as the façades by renowned Greek artist Yiannis Moralis . The Ilisian is poised to become a vibrant destination that bridges Athens’ rich heritage with contemporary sophistication.

The Ilisian represents a bold new vision for urban living in the heart of Athens. Rising elegantly at the intersection of modern architecture and timeless Athenian charm, this development sets a new standard for luxury residential living in Greece. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, The Ilisian blends cutting-edge sustainability practices, refined aesthetics, and a deep respect for the neighborhood’s historic identity.
