On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, ULI Greece & Cyprus hosted the second webinar of the “Pop-up talk” series with the theme: Hospitality. A year of rebound through data. Jamie Lane, Vice President of Research, AirDNA presented data from the past 6 months and interviewed by Konstantinos Santikos, Managing Director, Santikos Collection and member of the Executive Committee of ULI Greece & Cyprus.

Highlights of the second Pop-up talk:

• The demand for short term rentals has significantly rebounded in 2022. The strong numbers are significantly higher for Greece as the country was impacted crazy during the pandemic and lockdown years.
• Greece has had one of the biggest increase in demand in Europe ADR has not changed compared to the past years.
• Destinations like the West Coast, Dodecanese and the Sporades Islands where the UK market is strong have had the strongest rebound whereas Athens has decreased in both supply and demand showing that the leisure market is driving the rebound.
• Athens available listings have had a significant drop due to owners switch from short long term rental models.
